Labor always covered — across all membership tiers, you never pay for labor. Parts depend on your membership level.

FAQ

Questions we get asked a lot

Is the hardware really included in the fleet subscription?
Yes — the full fleetOS Link commercial system ships to your fleet as part of the subscription. This includes the Central Telematics Unit, forward AI dash camera, driver cabin camera, rear camera and both side blind spot cameras. No hardware purchase required, no upfront cost beyond your first month.
What is the minimum contract term?
The minimum term for fleet operators is 36 months. This allows us to ship hardware at no upfront cost — we recover the hardware cost over the contract period. Annual billing saves approximately 13% compared to monthly. Enterprise contracts are negotiated separately.
How do on-demand services get billed?
On-demand services — towing, mechanical dispatch, jump start, fuel delivery, tire change and lockout — are billed per incident directly to your fleet account. Service fees are fixed and shown in the pricing table above. Parts are billed separately at platform supplier pricing, always with fleet manager approval before any order is placed.
How does parts pricing work?
Parts are sourced in real time from our integrated supplier network — typically priced below retail. The mechanic searches by part name in the fleetOS Pro app, the system finds the nearest supplier with the part in stock, and the full cost is shown to the fleet manager for approval before anything is ordered. No surprises.
What happens to the hardware at the end of the contract?
At the end of your 36-month term you can renew your subscription — hardware continues working as-is. If you choose not to renew, hardware is returned to Winixx. Enterprise customers may negotiate hardware buyout options at contract end.
Does towing apply to consumer members?
No. Consumer membership covers light mechanical support — issues resolvable within 1–2 hours. The fleetOS hardware sends proactive alerts designed to prevent serious breakdowns before they happen. For crashes or major failures requiring towing, your auto insurance carrier handles that. Towing is available for commercial fleet operators as an on-demand service.
What is the parts allowance on consumer tiers?
Standard members pay for parts at platform supplier pricing — still lower than retail, but not covered by the membership. Premium covers up to $1,500/year in parts. Elite covers up to $2,500/year. All tiers cover labor in full across every service call.
How do I get the consumer hardware?
The fleetOS Link consumer hardware is available at $350 directly through insurance carrier programs or $450 at participating auto dealerships. Your membership is activated through those partners. If your insurer or dealer doesn't offer fleetOS yet, contact us and we'll notify you when it's available in your area.
What is the hardware warranty?
Both consumer and commercial hardware come with a 5-year warranty from the date of first activation. This covers all hardware defects, connectivity failures and battery degradation below 70% capacity. Replacement units ship within 10 business days of a confirmed warranty claim.
Is there a setup fee for fleet operators?
No setup fees. Your subscription starts at $39.99/vehicle/month from day one — hardware ships as part of onboarding. Enterprise customers on custom plans may have professional implementation services scoped separately during the sales process.
