Accessibility

Winixx is committed to making fleetOS accessible to everyone. This statement describes our current conformance status and how to request support. Effective September 10, 2025.

01

Our Commitment

Winixx Inc. is committed to ensuring that the fleetOS platform — including the web dashboard, mobile applications, and hardware setup experience — is accessible to all users, including those with disabilities. We believe that fleet management and roadside safety tools should be usable by everyone, regardless of ability.

Accessibility Statement
fleetOS aims to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA across all digital touchpoints. We actively test our platform against these standards and work to address identified gaps as part of our ongoing product development process.

This Accessibility Statement applies to the following fleetOS digital products:

  • The fleetOS web platform and fleet operator dashboard at fleetos.winixx.net
  • The fleetOS mobile application for consumer members (iOS and Android)
  • The fleetOS Pro mobile application for service providers (iOS and Android)
  • The fleetOS Driver App for commercial fleet drivers (iOS and Android)
  • Hardware setup and activation guides for the fleetOS Link device

This statement does not cover third-party websites, services, or applications linked to from the fleetOS platform but not operated by Winixx Inc.

02

Conformance Status

The fleetOS platform is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Partially conformant means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard. We are actively working to achieve full conformance and are committed to making accessibility improvements with each platform update.

WCAG 2.1 Level A
Minimum accessibility requirements. The fleetOS web platform meets all Level A success criteria.
WCAG 2.1 Level AA
Enhanced accessibility. Our target standard. Partially conformant — known gaps documented in Section 6.
WCAG 2.1 Level AAA
Highest standard. Aspirational goal for future platform development where technically feasible.

Our accessibility testing approach includes automated scanning using industry-standard tools, manual testing with screen readers and keyboard-only navigation, and periodic review by accessibility specialists. We conduct full platform accessibility audits on a semi-annual basis.

03

Web Platform

The fleetOS web platform — including the public marketing site and the fleet operator dashboard — is designed to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA. The following accessibility features are implemented across the web platform:

Keyboard Navigation
All interactive elements — including navigation menus, dropdown menus, buttons, forms, and modals — are fully accessible via keyboard. Tab order follows a logical reading sequence. Skip navigation links are provided to allow keyboard users to bypass repetitive navigation.
Focus Indicators
All focusable elements display a clearly visible focus indicator that meets WCAG 2.1 AA contrast requirements. Focus indicators are never suppressed across the platform.
Screen Reader Support
The platform uses semantic HTML5 elements and ARIA landmarks to provide meaningful structure for screen readers. Dynamic content updates use ARIA live regions to announce changes without requiring page reload. All images have descriptive alt text or are marked as decorative where appropriate.
Color Contrast
All text and interactive elements meet the WCAG 2.1 AA minimum contrast ratio of 4.5:1 for normal text and 3:1 for large text. Color is never used as the sole means of conveying information — status indicators, alerts, and error messages include text labels in addition to color coding.
Text Resizing
All text on the platform can be resized up to 200% using standard browser zoom without loss of content or functionality. The platform layout is responsive and reflows gracefully at increased text sizes.
Forms & Error Handling
All form inputs have programmatically associated labels. Error messages are clearly identified and associated with the relevant input fields. Required fields are identified both visually and through ARIA attributes. Form submission errors are announced to screen readers.
Video & Media
Video content on the marketing site includes captions for spoken audio. Where auto-play video is used, it plays without audio by default and includes controls to pause, stop, or adjust volume. Decorative animations can be reduced by users who have enabled the prefers-reduced-motion system setting.
Language & Structure
The page language is programmatically set on all pages. Heading hierarchy is used consistently to reflect document structure. Page titles are descriptive and unique across the platform to assist screen reader users in identifying their location.
04

Mobile Application

The fleetOS consumer app, fleetOS Pro service provider app, and fleetOS Driver App are developed for iOS and Android and are designed to work with platform-native accessibility features.

iOS Accessibility Support
  • VoiceOver — all interactive elements, screens, and dynamic content are labeled for use with Apple VoiceOver. Navigation gestures follow iOS accessibility conventions.
  • Dynamic Type — the app supports iOS Dynamic Type, scaling text sizes in response to the user's system-level text size preference without truncating or obscuring content.
  • Reduce Motion — animations and transitions are suppressed when the iOS Reduce Motion setting is enabled.
  • High Contrast — the app respects iOS Increase Contrast settings, adjusting border colors and visual elements to improve legibility.
Android Accessibility Support
  • TalkBack — all interactive elements, screens, and dynamic content are labeled for use with Android TalkBack. Standard TalkBack swipe gestures are supported throughout the app.
  • Font Size — the app scales with Android system font size preferences up to the maximum system setting.
  • Display Size — the layout adapts to Android display size preferences without content being cut off or unusable.
  • Remove Animations — the app respects Android's Remove Animations accessibility setting.
Emergency Response Accessibility

The emergency response alert — activated by crash detection on the fleetOS Link hardware — is designed to be operable by users with motor, visual, and cognitive disabilities. The dismiss button is large, clearly labeled, and accessible via VoiceOver and TalkBack. The countdown is communicated both visually and through audio alerts. Users who cannot interact with the countdown due to incapacitation will have emergency services contacted on their behalf automatically — which is the intended safety function.

05

Hardware & Setup

The fleetOS Link hardware setup process is designed to be completable by users with a range of physical abilities. The following accessibility considerations apply to the hardware and its setup experience:

Physical Installation

The consumer fleetOS Link plugs into the OBD-II port located under the dashboard within reach of the driver's seat. The device requires a single insertion action with no tools. For users with limited hand strength or dexterity, the OBD-II port location and the force required for insertion are consistent with standard automotive accessibility — the same force required to plug in any standard OBD-II device.

Users who experience difficulty with self-installation may request assistance at any participating auto dealer partner location at no additional charge. Dealers are required under our Partner Code of Conduct to facilitate installation upon request.

Setup Guide Accessibility
  • The digital setup guide within the fleetOS app uses plain language, large text, and step-by-step instructions with visual and text guidance
  • All images in the setup guide include descriptive alt text for screen reader users
  • The setup guide is available in the app and as a printable PDF with accessible document structure
  • Users can request a large-print version of the setup guide by contacting support@fleetos.winixx.net
Device Status Indicator

The fleetOS Link LED status indicator uses color to communicate device status. We recognize that color-only indicators create barriers for users with color vision deficiencies. In addition to the LED, all device status information is available within the fleetOS app with text labels and does not require interpretation of the LED alone. The device also uses distinct blink patterns that differ by status, providing a non-color visual cue.

06

Known Limitations

We are committed to transparency about where our accessibility implementation falls short of WCAG 2.1 Level AA. The following known limitations are actively being addressed in our development roadmap:

Area Limitation WCAG Criterion Status
Fleet Dashboard — Map View The live vehicle map does not have a non-visual alternative for screen reader users. Vehicle locations are conveyed through map markers only. 1.1.1 Non-text Content Planned Q1 2026
Fleet Dashboard — Data Charts Some analytics charts lack sufficient text descriptions for screen reader users. Chart data is not consistently available in tabular format. 1.1.1 Non-text Content Planned Q1 2026
Mobile App — Parts Search The parts search autocomplete suggestions in fleetOS Pro are not consistently announced by VoiceOver and TalkBack when results update. 4.1.3 Status Messages Planned Q4 2025
Mobile App — Camera Feeds Live camera feeds in the commercial driver monitoring system do not have audio descriptions. Visual-only event alerts (drowsiness, distraction) may not be accessible to deaf-blind users. 1.2.3 Audio Description In Progress
PDF Documents Some older PDF documents in the Resources section may not be fully accessible to screen readers. Newer documents are created with accessibility in mind. 1.3.1 Info and Relationships In Progress
Third-Party Integrations Third-party payment processing and background check interfaces used during onboarding are not within our direct control. We work with vendors who commit to WCAG 2.1 AA compliance. Multiple Vendor-Dependent
